Patricia Singley

Patricia N. Singley, 84, of Metamora passed away peacefully on February 26, 2012 at Snyder Village in Metamora. She was born on December 29, 1927 in Lincoln, IL the daughter of John and Anna Phelan Bazulas. She married William L. Singley on April 19, 1947 in Lincoln. He passed away on November 25, 2008. She was also preceded in death by one sister. Surviving are their children John (Michelle) Singley of Godfrey, IL, Susan Singley and Molly Kitching both of Metamora, and David Singley of St. Paul, MN. She is further survived by 3 grandchildren Molly Sue (Matthew) Somogyi, Craig (Michelle) Kitching, and Evan Singley and one great grandson Micah Somogyi. Patricia was a devoted wife and mother, and her passion was caring for her family. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed baking, cross stitch embroidery and the beautiful colors of fall. Cremation rites have been accorded with a Memorial Mass scheduled for 11am Saturday April 21st at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Peoria Heights with Fr. Tim Taylor as Celebrant. There will be no visitation. Burial of Patricia and Williams? remains will follow at St. Mary?s Catholic Cemetery in Metamora. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Alzheimer?s Association.
