Patricia Ann Brown, 74, of Metamora, IL, passed away Friday morning, March 21, 2025, at her home.

She was born on June 15, 1950, in David City, NE, to Thomas L. and Betty M. (Martin) Birkel. She married Kerwin R. Brown on September 17, 1971 in Denver, CO.

Surviving are her husband, Kerwin of Metamora; children, Dana (Barry) Hinkle of Lincoln, NE, Seth (Dawn) Brown and Jessie (Carl) Born both of Metamora; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and siblings, Deb (Jim) Litchfield of Wakefield, NE, Sandy (Terry) Litchfield of Windsor, CO, and Bob (Teresa) Birkel of Dwight, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Leo Birkel, Donnie Birkel, Marty Birkel, and Steve Birkel, and sister, Virgie Birkel.

Pat had a heart full of compassion and exhibited a fervent love for each person she encountered; desiring above all that they would accept the love and forgiveness of her savior the Lord Jesus Christ. She was an active member of Germantown Hills Baptist Church in Germantown Hills, IL as a follower of her Savior, serving Him and her church. She was a caregiver giving her all in supporting others. Pat enjoyed gardening, taking care of her grandchildren and a good game of Scrabble at family gatherings.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Germantown Hills Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Carlson officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of her service. Cremation rites will be accorded following her service with burial of ashes in Vermont Cemetery at a later date.
