Orajean "Jean" M. (Burdette) Haedicke

Orajean M. "Jean" Haedicke, 96, of East Peoria, IL, passed away at 4:00 am on Monday, January 15, 2024, at her residence.

She was born on October 27, 1927, in Peoria, IL, to Isaac and Gertrude (Lamm) Burdette. She married Arthur W. "Bud" Haedicke on September 19, 1947 in Peoria, IL. He passed away on January 30, 2013.

Surviving are her children, Donald (Debbie) Haedicke, James (Cathy) Haedicke, and Joyce (Jack) Dries all of East Peoria; grandchildren, Elaine (Brian) Haedicke Thornhill, Gary (Erika) Haedicke, Jennifer (Brian) Dries Wick, and Joe (Allison) Dries; and great-grandchildren, Riley Fisher, Steven Dries, Avery Dries, Luka Haedicke, Lexi Labraaten, Cecilia Redfield, and Claire Redfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Donald Burdette, Gordon Burdette, and Ed Burdette, and sisters, Florence Beck, Viola Rose, Lucille Bachler, Evelyn Starcevic, and Dorothy Schwerer.

Orajean was a homemaker and also the bookkeeper for the family excavation business, Haedicke Sand, Gravel, and Excavating. She was a member of a bowling club and an avid Illini fan.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Haedicke Family Cemetery in East Peoria with Pastor Gary Salm officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her graveside service on Thursday at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel.
