Oliver "Junior" Earl Garber

Oliver Earl "Junior" Garber, 93, of Metamora, IL, formerly of Spring Bay, IL, passed away at 11:25 pm on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Unity Point Health-Proctor in Peoria, IL.

He was born on September 23, 1928 in Spring Bay to Oliver E. and Josephine (Lovelace) Garber. He married Frances Louise Wagner on July 17, 1948 in Peoria, IL. They were married for 73 years.

Surviving are his wife, Frances of Metamora and son, Dr. Oliver E. "Trippy" (Diane) Garber III of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and two brothers.

Junior was the owner/operator of Garbers Service Station. He was a member of RiversEdge United Methodist Church in Spring Bay, the Spring Bay Township road commissioner for 8 years, and a 20 year trustee for the Spring Bay Township. Junior was a loving husband and father.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 21, 2022 in Spring Bay Cemetery, Spring Bay, IL.
