Norma J. Clifford

Norma J. Clifford, 83, of Washington, IL passed away at 11:58 am on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Unity Point Methodist, Peoria. She was born on August 16, 1932 in Peoria, IL to Harold J. "Dutch" and Dorothy A. (Fauser) Gerber. She married Robert V. Bickerman in 1954. She then married Melvin Clifford in 1964. He died in 1999. Surviving are her children Mike (Teri) Bickerman of LowPoint, IL, Mark (Dianna) Bickerman of Washburn, IL, and Dee (Tim) Cook of Metamora; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and brothers Dale (Joan) Gerber of Florida and John (Colleen) Gerber of Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, and granddaughter Buffy Marie. Norma was a registered nurse and counselor in the Young Adult Unit at Proctor Hospital until her retirement. She was a lifetime seamstress and an accomplished pianist. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11:00 am at Crossroads United Methodist Church, Washington with Reverend Dan Doty officiating.
