Nancy Louise Cooke, 74, formerly of Washington, Il died on January 31, 2023, at The Loft Rehabilitation and Nursing in Eureka, Il. Nancy was born December 15, 1948, in Harrisburg, Il to James 'Clarence' and Wilma Sittig. Nancy attended Saint Francis School of Nursing earning her LPN degree. Nancy married Gary E. Cooke on March 11, 1978. He preceded her in death. Also, preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Paul Sittig and Mark Sittig; sister, Pauline Eakle; and grandson, Dawson Nofsinger. Nancy is survived by her son, Douglas James (DJ) Cooke of Peoria; step-children, Mike (Amy) Cooke of Eolia, MO, Teresa Nofsinger of Florida, Erin (George) Brown of Peoria; grandchildren, Brandon (Cidney) Keller, Cody (Courtney) Cooke, Nick Cooke, Matthew Lovell, Robert Cooke, Hudson Nofsinger, Sorin Beyer-Schade, Grace Cooke and John Cooke; brother, Kenny Walters of Galatia, Il; sister, Linda (Jerry) Rindfleisch of Sunnyland; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. An informal graveside service will be held at Glendale Cemetery in Washington, Il on February 17, 2023 at noon.
