Nancy E. Molendi, age 67, of Washington, formerly of Spring Bay, passed away at 11:14 am on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Unity Point Proctor Hospital. She was born to Clarence R. and Myrtle (Swanson) Hodge on October 18, 1946 in Peoria, Illinois. She married William M. Molendi on December 5, 1964 in Spring Bay, Illinois. Surviving is her husband, Bill; two children, Steven (Tracy) Molendi of Germantown Hills and Angela (Curtis) Hill of Metamora; seven grandchildren, Zachary and Samantha Molendi, Cory Hill, Jacob and Baylee Schmechel, Alyssa and Brandon Hill; three brothers and three sisters, Roger (Marilyn) Hodge of Spring Bay, June (Gary) Fiddler of Canton, Joyce (Jerry) Johnson of Peoria, Norman (Louise) Hodge of Peoria, Larry (Janet) Hodge of North Carolina, and Sharon (Butch) McClellan of Creve Coeur. She was preceded in death by her parents. Nancy was a school volunteer and then became a secretary for Riverview Grade School District II. She was a substitute teacher for Woodford County Special Education. Nancy was an avid jewelry maker, St. Louis Cardinal fan and collector of Cardinal memorabilia. She had attended RiversEdge United Methodist Church, Spring Bay and was a member of Willow Hill United Methodist Church, Germantown Hills. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with Reverend Ken Hogren officiating with visitation on Friday, April 11, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel and one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Internment will be in Spring Bay Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or any local Food Pantry.
