Nancy Ruth Hobbs, age 86, of South Wayne, WI, formerly of Washburn, IL, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born February 15, 1932 in Belleville, PA to Alpheus and Rebecca (Zook) Peachey. She was united in marriage to Claude Ray Hobbs on June 11, 1950 in Chesapeake, VA.

Nancy grew up and raised a family in the Chesapeake, VA area. She was a member of the Linn Mennonite Church in Roanoke, IL.

She is survived by her children Karen (Paul) Kennell of South Wayne, WI, Lester (Patricia) Hobbs of Marietta, GA, and Gary (Joyce) Hobbs of Meherrin, VA; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers Abe and Elam Peachey, one sister Emma Yoder, daughter Susan (Hobbs) Garrett, granddaughter Rebekah Faith Kennell, and great-grandson Ethan Jacob Chistner.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Linn Mennonite Church in Roanoke, IL with visitation from 11:00 am until the time of her service on Tuesday at the church.
