Muriel Janet Field

Muriel Janet (Parr) Field, 86, of Richmond, CA passed away at 10:10 pm on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, CA. She was born on January 7, 1931 in Metamora, IL to Henry M. and Bertha M. (Waldschmidt) Parr. She married Lloyd Emory Field on June 16, 1951 in El Cerrito, CA. He passed away on July 23, 2015. Surviving are her daughter Cynthia Ann "Candy" Koepke; foster daughter Paula; grandchildren Melanie, Heather, Janette, and Zephram; great-grandchildren Mena, Michael, Jennifer, Zander, Jacob, Logan, Leia, and Talia; and sister Marlene Baker. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Marvin Parr, Henry Parr, Audrey Filles, Dennis Parr, Loyela Rohman, and William Parr. Muriel had been vice-president of St. Vincent de Paul and East Bay Hospital Service League and a tax aide for A.A.R.P. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in San Pablo, CA. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday March 17, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Metamora with Father Greg Jozefiak officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of service at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Metamora.
