Michael Winfred High

Michael Winfred High, 58, of East Peoria, IL passed away at 9:23 pm on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on January 1, 1958 in Peoria, IL to Winfred Willis and Patricia Jane (Mauschbaugh) High. Surviving are his uncle James Murphy of Griswold, IA; cousins Dennis (Mary) Murphy of Atlantic, IA, Duane (Vicki) Murphy of Anita, IA, Dave (Lorri) Johnston of Waukee, IA, Lenny (Mary) Mauschbaugh of Sleepy Hollow, IL, Lee Mauschbaugh of East Peoria, and Kimberly (Marvin) Gerdes of Gridley; and numerous additional cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and half-sister Barb High. Mike was a steel fabricator/welder for Hanley Steel for 19 years. He was a member of RiversEdge United Methodist Church in Spring Bay. He was a member of the Scottish Rites Bodies in Peoria. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting clay pigeons and targets. Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Spring Bay Cemetery in Spring Bay with Reverend Gary Salm and the Scottish Rites officiating.
