Michael Heimberg

Michael F. Heimberg, 61, of Peoria passed away at 9:35a.m., Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Unity Point Health-Methodist.

He was born on February 2, 1956 in Chicago, son of Conrad and Geraldine Broggi Heimberg.

Surviving are one daughter Vanessa Kinman of Chicago, IL, his mother of Lockport, IL; three brothers Conrad (Ellen) Heimberg of Dayton, OH; Steven Heimberg of Topock, AZ and Carl (Tina) Heimberg of Lockport, IL. Also surviving are two sisters MaryJo (Joe) Prignano of Tinley Park, IL and Geraldine (Keith) Tookey of Washington, IL along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was a graduate of Gage Park High School. He loved, owned, and operated his motorcycle repair business in Chicago. During this adventure, he displayed his problem solving ability with limited resources. He was an honorably discharged U.S. Navy Veteran serving on an aircraft carrier.

Despite being faced with multiple hardships, he lived life to the fullest in his own unique way persevering with great dignity. His adventurous spirit was displayed through his musical talents in writing, playing and recording his own music.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. Pastor Tom Swanson will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Cremation will follow his service.
