Mary June Wagner

Mary June Wagner, 94 of Durand, IL formerly of Metamora, IL died at 10:59 a.m. on Sunday December 23, 2012 in Medina Manor Nursing Home surrounded by her family. She was born June 8, 1918 in Edwards, IL the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Washington and Catherine (Forrester) Sleeth. Mary graduated from Kingman High School in Peoria, IL the class of 1935. She married Daniel C. Wagner in Peoria, IL on January 11, 1938. He died in July of 2002. Mary was an office manager for Paul A. Wagner and Son Excavating and then worked for the Chevy and Buick Dealer in Metamora, IL. She was member of Christian Union Church in Metamora, IL; the Metamora Women?s Club and was named the Women of the Year. Survivors include: Son Daniel (Sybil) Wagner of Lake Summerset, IL; grandchildren Conni (Joe) Villella of Elgin, IL, Jeri (Victor) Slattery of Kingston, IL, Daniel C. (Sheila) Wagner of Burlington, IL, Kelly (Larry) Pfeifer of Dallas, TX, Michelle (Fenton) Burke of Washington, IL; 12 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, son Donald C. Wagner, granddaughter Mari A. Wagner, 1 brother and 2 sisters. Funeral ceremonies to be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday December 26, 2012 in Durand United Methodist Church 102 East Main Street Durand, IL with Pastor Brian Channel officiating. A visitation will be held at the church from 1:00 to 3:00 pm Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Durand United Methodist Church.
