Mary S. Schraub

Mary S. Schraub age 86 of Metamora, Illinois passed away at 1:40am Wednesday Dec. 11, 2013 at Washington Christian Village. She was born Oct. 18, 1927 in Cazenovia Township, Illinois to Joseph and Ida (Griese) Marchand. She married Charles R. Schraub on May 3, 2004. Surviving is her husband of Pekin; two children Jim Stamm of Metamora, Janet (Duane) Orwig of Washington. Two step sons, Rod Schraub and Charles R. (Joyce) Schraub Jr. both of Pekin. Seven grandchildren, five step grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren and two step great great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mildred Gieseking and Bernadine (Fredericks) Janssen both of Metamora. She was preceded in death by son-in-law Stan Schneider, 4 brothers and one sister. Mary enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and dancing. She was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church and was a loving grandmother. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am Saturday Dec. 14, 2013 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church with father Ron Dodd officiating. Visitation will be from 9am until service time at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery in Metamora. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Washington Christian Village. Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com
