Mary Ann Rowden

Mary Ann Rowden, 76, of Washington passed away at 12:15pm, Friday, January 4, 2019 at Heartland of Riverview in East Peoria.

She was born on September 11, 1942 in Peoria the daughter Olaf and Betty Gilmore Hinton.  She married Larry Gresham on November 6, 1960 in Washington.  She later married David Rowden on August 27, 1987 and he passed away on April 9, 2005.  Her parents and one granddaughter also preceded her in death.

Surviving are three sons Tim (Chris) Gresham of Washington, IL, Todd Gresham of Lima, OH and Mike (Jaylinn) of Washington, IL; one daughter Jennifer Gresham of Germantown Hills, IL, one foster daughter Bibbie Wilson of Morton. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  Further surviving are three sisters Marty (Tom) Cain of Dunlap, IL, Sharon Lehman of Creve Coeur, IL and Kay (Phillip) Brackeen of Athens, AL; one brother Steven Hinton of Atlantic, IA along with one nephew Tyler Andrews of Lawrence, KS two nieces Tracy Andrews Garner of Galesburg and Tara Andrews of Seneca, SC all of whom she raised.

Visitation will be Tuesday January 8, 2019 at Mason-White Funeral Home, 20 Valley Forge Rd in Washington from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.  Funeral Services will be 10:00am Wednesday, January 9, 2019 also at the funeral home.  Pastor Steve Hardin will officiate.  Cremation will follow her service and inurnment will be at a later date at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be given to the American Cancer Society.  To share a memory or send a condolence for her family, visit www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
