Mary E. Owsley

Mary was born on August 23, 1932 in Peoria to William and Mary Beard Salter. Among those surviving are four daughters, Linda (Chuck) Bland, Karen (Jay) Laing and Cathy Owsley all of Washington and Diane (Kevin) Lovell of East Peoria; three sons, William Owsley, Jr. and Paul (Krista) Owsley both of Washington and Allen (June) Owsley of Mackinaw; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. Mary was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was a member of the Highview Church of God in Washington. Mary was devoted in teaching and helping at the church unitl her health started to fail. She had a great love of collecting birds and angels. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Ed Beasley officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, south of Washington. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 Saturday morning at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to either her family or the church. Those family members serving as pallbearers are Allen Owsley, William Owsley, Jr., Paul Owsley, Kelly Owsley, Chad Forsythe and Cody Laing.
