Mary Grace Moses

Mary Grace Moses, 93, of Roanoke, IL passed away at 7:07 am on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke. She was born on March 15, 1923 in Peoria, IL to Albert and Helen (Burger) Rance. She married William J. Moses on July 21, 1943. He passed away on July 15, 1983. Surviving are her children Cary (Sue) Moses of Peoria, William Moses of Miromar Lakes, FL, and Betty Droege of Washington; eight grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son-in-law Jan Droege, Sr., sister Betty J. Fisher, and brother Albert Rance. Mary was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Peoria and their Women's Guild. She was also a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Roanoke. Mary was an avid bowler, loved fishing and the fishing vacations they took, and enjoyed playing cards, especially Rummy and Crazy 8 with her grandkids. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Washington with Father Steve Willard officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow in the school gym. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, 733 Third Avenue, Suite 510, New York, NY 10017.
