Mary Ellen Malcome

Mary Ellen Malcome, 87, of East Peoria, formerly of Mackinaw, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 7:12 am at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. She was born on January 12, 1927 to Irvin F. and Lois (Shonk) Wyss in Mackinaw, IL. She married Sherman L. Malcome in St. Louis, MO. He died on May 29, 2002. Surviving are three sons, Fred (Jeanette) Malcome of Metamora, Gerald (RevAC.) Malcome of Low Point, IL, Ron (Kay) Malcome of Chillicothe, IL; one daughter, Florence Hayse of Chillicothe, IL; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren along with one brother, Irvin Wyss, Jr. of Pekin, IL and one sister, Shirley (Fred) Beshears of Springfield, IL. She was preceded in death by one son, Kevan Malcome, one brother and one sister. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with private graveside services to follow at 12:30 pm at Oakwood Cemetery in Metamora.
