Mary Paula Knott Newell

DEER CREEK?Mary Paula Knott Newell, 58, of Deer Creek, passed away at 7:05 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at ManorCare in Normal. Paula was born on December 3, 1952 in Owensboro, Kentucky to Francis and Mary Harris Knott. In 2002 she married Wayne Newell in Eureka. He died in 2007. Among those surviving is one son, Michael Knott of Deer Creek; one brother, Dwane (Lori) Knott of Hanover, Maryland; six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Cletus and one son, David Lee Knott. Paula worked at Kroger in Washington where she was a front end supervisor. She was a 1971 graduate of Washington Community High School and a member of St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Washington. Funeral services for Paula will be held at noon on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington with Father Ryan Bredemeyer officiating. Visitation will be after 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Cremation rites will be accorded following services and burial of ashes will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Memorials for Paula may be made to St. Patrick?s Church.
