Mary L. Heininger, 82, of Metamora passed away at 1:27pm Saturday January 28, 2012 at Methodist Medical Center of Illinois. She was born on April 18, 1929 in Peoria the daughter of Adolph and Emma Geier Bessler. She married Donald A. Heininger on May 21, 1949 in East Peoria. Surviving is her husband of Metamora, and their two children Scott (Ronda) Heininger of Washington and Toni (Rod) Westbrook of East Peoria. Also surviving are three grandchildren Rachel (Nick) Gama, Joel Westbrook and Rebecca (Tyler) Ingold as well as two great grandchildren Kevan Ingold and Addison Gama. Further surviving is one sister Kay Cady of Albuquerque, NM, and one brother Roger Bessler of Glasford. She was preceded in death by one infant daughter Lori Heininger, two brothers and one sister. A homemaker, she was a diehard fisherman. Cremation rites have been accorded with private graveside services at Fondulac Township Cemetery in East Peoria. Memorials may be given to Snyder Village Health Center.
