Mary E. Davis

Mary E. Davis age 72 of Germantown Hills, Illinois passed away at 10:00am Saturday August 18, 2012 at her residence. She was born Dec. 2, 1939 in Wilderness, Missouri to Walter and (Lula Hurt) Dixon. She married Donald E. Davis on Dec. 27, 1958 in Peoria and he passed away on Dec. 21, 1995. Surviving are her children, Kathy (the late Bob) Crosier of Canton, Michael (Connie) Davis of Germantown Hills, Jeff Davis of E. Peoria, and Kim (John Caswell) Davis of Peoria. Grandchildren, Brandon Crosier, Garrett and Delaney Davis, Andrew and Sara Davis, and Baylen and Shelby Davis. Brother and sisters, Opal (Al) Greenman of Van Buren, MO., Coraine Dixon, of Springfield, MO., Alma Cowin of Fairgrove, MO., and Elmer Dixon of Mountain Grove, MO.. She was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Mary worked in the Cafeteria for 15 years for Germantown Hills School District 69. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed sewing, garage saleing, and spending time with her grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 1:00pm Wednesday August 22, 2012 at Oakwood Cemetery in Metamora with Rev. Gary Salm officiating. Memorials may be made to Germantown Hills Grade School Library.
