Mary Britnell

WASHINGTON-Mary Britnell, 82, beloved Mother, was called to her eternal resting place at 8:07pm, Tuesday May 2, 2017 at Washington Christian Village. She entered this world on September 24, 1934 in Rosedale Park, IN, born to Oscel and Druscilla Lowe. She married Clinton O. Britnell on November 22, 1951 in Red River Parish, LA. He passed away on May 1, 2015 in Washington. One brother Drew Lowe, two sisters Jennie Johnson and Wilma Bailey also preceded her in death. She is survived by her Children Clinton E. (Kathleen) Britnell, Gwen (Bryan) Evans, Brian (Marla) Britnell, Beth (Genaro) Martinez and Doug (Debbie) Britnell. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren along with one sister Judy Lewis and one brother James (Carla) Lowe. She was a great cook and enjoyed canning fresh vegetables from the garden, loving to feed her family and friends. Mary had many simple enjoyments in life including reading, a spirited card game, watching St. Louis Cardinal baseball and old musicals. She was a caretaker of the elderly but her first priority was taking care of her family. Mary took great pride in having her family surround her, especially during the holidays. Visitation will be held at 10:00 am, followed by services at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Bob DeBolt officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton. Memorials for Mary may be directed to American Diabetes Association or Unity Point Methodist Hospice.
