WASHINGTON?Marlene Joyce Ahrens, 78, of Washington, IL passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at 10:05 pm at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. She was born on February 26, 1936 in Metamora, IL to Arnold R. and Evelyn F. (Himmel) Ahrens. Surviving are sister Helen Ahrens of Washington; step-sister Shirley Adams of Metamora; sisters-in-law Norma Lee Ahrens of Washington and June Ahrens of Metamora; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Willard and Kenny Ahrens, step-mother Florence Ahrens, and one step-sister. Marlene had worked in child care for 30 years. She was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church, Washington. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 11:00 am at Mason-White Funeral Home, Washington with Pastor Bob DeBolt officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
