Mark A. Dorsey

Mark A. Dorsey, 67, of East Peoria, IL, passed away at 8:40 pm on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at his residence.

He was born on January 21, 1958, in Peoria, IL, to Gregory and Eugenia (Seckler) Dorsey.  He married Joan E. Colvin on June 1, 1974, in Peoria, IL.  She passed away on September 5, 2022.

Surviving are his son, Brad (Mallori) Dorsey of Metamora, IL; grandchildren, Maize Dorsey and Bryan Dorsey; brother, Bob (Christina) Dorsey of East Peoria, IL; and sisters, Tina Matthews and Tonya (Miquel) Martinez both of Texas, and Stacey Seckler of Lincoln, IL.  He was preceded in death by his parents, son Bryan Dorsey, and sister Peggy Perez.

Mark was a U.S. Veteran.  He was a self-employed general contractor.  Mark loved working in construction, carpentry, and working on cars.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  No service will be held.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.  Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
