WASHINGTON... Mark D. Aberle, 65, of Washington, passed away at his home on Friday, October 9, 2015. Mark was born on January 16, 1950 in Peoria to Glenn and Ruth (Berry) Aberle. Among those surviving is his son, Nathan (Makayla) Aberle of Columbia, S.C.; a step son, Scott Noel of Colorado; one sister, Marlo (Robert) Presbrey of Washington; two brothers, Martin (Jessi) Aberle of Waseca, MN and Marlon Aberle of Washington and two grandchildren Arion Kie and Zoey Aberle. Mark was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Marshall. Mark retired from Caterpillar where he had worked at the Morton Parts facility for 30 years. He was a 1968 graduate of Washington Community High School, always being a faithful Panther fan and supporting the 12th Man program. Mark loved following Chicago sports, being a great fan of the 2015 Stanley Cup Champions-Chicago Blackhawks and cheering on the Cubs and Bears when playing as well. Mark was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and had played in the church's bowling and dart ball teams over the years. The family is hosting a remembrance celebration for Mark at the Washington K of C hall, 120 Walnut Street on Wednesday, October 14th from 5 to 9 p.m. Memorials for Mark may be directed to the Washington 12th Man Program.
