WASHINGTON?Marjorie A. Williams, 88, of Washington, passed away at 1:20 a.m., Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. Marjorie was born on May 15, 1925 in Peoria to Edward and Hilda (Schuetler) Tursam. She married Darwin F. Williams in Peoria on January 1, 1945. Darwin, her loving husband and companion of 68 years, survives. Also surviving are their three children, James D. (Arlene) Williams of Honolulu, Hawaii, Dennis E. (Tara) Williams of Raleigh, North Carolina and Diana L. (Ric) Fritz of Dunlap; seven grandchildren, Chad Williams, Andrea Williams, Christopher Williams, Keith Williams, Matthew Williams, Kristie Harms and Anthony Reinboldt and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Charles, Elmer and Robert Tursam. Marjorie was a great home maker and will always be remembered as a loving wife and mother, as well as being a very special grandmother. Her life revolved around her family and her church. She was a graduate of Peoria Manual High School in the class of 1943 and a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Funeral services for Marjorie will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Tom Heren officiating. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington and on Monday a half hour prior to services. Memorials may be directed to either her church or the Alzheimer?s Foundation.
