Marjorie A. Obery

Marjorie A. Obery, 85, of Metamora, IL passed away at 12:36 am on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Synder Village, Metamora. She was born on December 30, 1929 in Minonk, IL to Michael A. and Irene (Tarman) Goliwas. She married Eugene J. Obery on April 26, 1952 in Minonk, IL. He died on May 12, 2008. Surviving are children Joel (Debbie) Obery and Marla (Mike Vedas) Obery both of Metamora and Kristina Obery of Chillicothe; daughter-in-law Sharon Obery of Germantown Hills; grandchildren Brian (Shay) Obery, Sara (Nate) Allen, Melanie (Andrew) Werner, Lynn Obery, Edward (Jennifer) Gray and David Krowlek; and great-grandchildren Berkley, Parker and Kensington Allen and Andi Werner. She was preceded in death by her parents, son David Obery, two brothers, and two sisters. Marjorie was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church, Metamora and the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed the farm, gardening and canning. She also enjoyed her family, grandkids and her great-grandkids made her day. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, Metamora with Father Greg Jozefiak officiating. Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 2:30 pm with visitation following from 3:00 until 5:00 pm at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel. Burial will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery, Metamora. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Mary?s and Metamora Fire Department. Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
