Marilyn A. Xanders

Marilyn A. Xanders age 74 of Germantown Hills, Illinois passed away at 9:01am Tuesday Dec. 3, 2013 at her residence. She was born Jan. 12, 1939 in Peoria, Illinois to Earle V. and Elizabeth M. (Buckler) Coughlon. She married Harold R. Xanders on Sept. 24, 1960 in Peoria and he survives. Surviving are her children, Robert Xanders of Palm Desert, CA., Bettyanne (Benedict Adebowale) Xanders of Grand Prairie, TX., Deborah Xanders of Peoria; six grandchildren, Alexa Xanders, Travis Xanders, Mitchell Xanders, Jordan Xanders, Emma Adebowale and Isabel Adebowale. Also surviving are two brothers, Robert Coughlon of Shorewood, MN., and Eugene (Connie) Coughlon of Peoria. Her parents preceded her in death. Marilyn worked in her early years for Hyster?s in Peoria, Federal Warehouse in E. Peoria and Multi-Ad Services Inc. in Peoria. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, playing in card clubs and loved bowling; she was involved in many bowling leagues and was a former State Champion. Member of St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am Monday Dec. 9, 2013 at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in rural Metamora with Father Neri Greskoviak officiating. Rosary will be at 2:30pm Sunday with visitation to follow from 3pm until 5pm at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel. Burial will be in St. Mary of Lourdes Cemetery.
