Marilyn Jean (Schafts) Pohlman

Marilyn Jean Pohlman, 76, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 11, 2025 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL.

She was born on May 17, 1949, in Peoria, IL, to Leo and Patricia (Craig) Schafts. She married David Pohlman on December 21, 1982 in Missouri.

Surviving are her husband, David of Metamora; daughter, Sarah (Mike) Patterson of Lowpoint, IL; step-daughter, Vicki Kupec of Wenona, IL, brother, Mike Schafts of Springfield, IL; and sister, Jennie (Paul) Greenan of Peoria, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Heather Cleveland.

Marilyn was a master knitter, horticulturist, and 4H leader in Woodford County. She loved trail riding and gardening and was a great baker.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:30 am on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with a private graveside service following the visitation. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
