Marilyn J. Hopwood, 81, of Metamora, IL, formerly of Peoria, IL passed away at 10:05 am on Monday, August 8, 2016 at Snyder Village in Metamora. She was born on November 13, 1934 in Peoria, IL to Owen and Fern (O'Halleron) Worrick. She married Robert Hopwood on March 17, 1967 in Peoria. He passed away on February 24, 2015. Surviving are her children Vicki (Roger) Alig of Metamora, Ronald (Susan) Messmore of Dunlap, and Cathy (Russ) Scachette of Mapleton; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Marilyn had worked in the cafeteria at Commerical Bank in Peoria. She was an avid reader, loved to travel, enjoyed camping, and especially spending time with her family. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date in Lutheran Cemetery, Peoria.
