Marguerite Collins

Marguerite E. Collins, 95, of East Peoria, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at Washington Christian Village. She was born on October 12, 1918 in Galesburg, IL the daughter of George and Edith Sampson Jones. She married Richard W. Collins Sr. on April 17, 1940 in Iowa City, IA. He passed away on April 14, 2006 in Chillicothe. One daughter Linda Mae Shattuck, 2 brothers 4 sisters, also preceded her in death Surviving are three sons Richard (Kathy) Collins Jr. of Bay View Gardens, Allen (Lynn) Collins of Cadiz, KY, Ronald (Liz) Collins Peoria. Two daughters Jacki Carmichael of Spring Bay, and Virginia (Harry) Call of East Peoria. Also surviving many Grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren and step great grandchildren. She worked as a surgical nurse at Proctor Hospital and OSF St. Francis Medical Center many years ago. She later was a homemaker. Services will be 11am Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Mason Funeral Home in Germantown Hills. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Spring Bay Cemetery in Spring Bay. Memorials in her name may be given to a charity of the donor?s choice.
