Margaret Ellen (O'Neill) Brewer

Margaret Ellen Brewer, 72, of Pontiac, IL, passed away at 3:27 AM on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Washington Senior Living in Washington, IL.

She was born on August 29, 1950, in Lincoln, IL, the daughter of Ronan F. and Elizabeth "Betty" (Buchholz) O'Neill

Margaret is survived by her daughter Robin Kay (Anthony Billquest) Brewer of Bloomington, IL, three grandsons Joshua (Amanda) Bennington of Toole, UT; Adam (Alicia Heidenreich) Bennington of Bloomington, IL, and Phillip (Stefanie Johnson) Bennington of Pontiac, IL and seven great-grandchildren Charlotte, Alivia, Brock, Isobel, Alayna, Eleanor, and Dawsyn. Also surviving are two sisters Cynthia (James) Simmons of Peoria and Mary Ann Roche of Phoenix, AZ., and two foster brothers Dennis Weber of New Braunfels, TX, and Tim Weber of Iowa. Further surviving are her former spouse, Raymond Brewer of Chatsworth, IL.

Her parents, her foster parents, William and Irene Weber one brother Ronald E. Roche all preceded her in death.

Margaret graduated from Odell Community Highschool. She was a member of the Pontiac Church of the Nazarene, where she taught children's Sunday School. Margaret worked at Pontiac Furniture, Artistic Furniture, Fairbury Chair Company, and Mosaic Homes as a direct support assistant.

She was a kind lady with great affection for helping others. Her smile and calming presence comforted many she served through the years working with developmentally challenged adults.

She enjoyed Bible study, crafting, jigsaw puzzles, and bingo. Maggie loved Jesus; his love light shone brightly through her, uplifting others.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington.
