Margaret H. Matson, 86, of Metamora, IL passed away at 9:25 am on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Snyder Village in Metamora. She was born on March 9, 1935 in Buda, IL to Forrest and Edythe (Grubb) Olson. She married Richard O. Matson on April 22, 1956 in Buda, IL.

Surviving are her husband, Richard of Metamora; two sons, Ken (Linda Gehrig) Matson of Germantown Hills and Dale (Sue) Matson of Metamora; three grandchildren, Krysta (Wes) Brackett of Hanna City, IL, Drew (Ashley) Matson of Hanna City, IL, and Taylor (Austin) Miller of Germantown Hills, IL; three great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Josie Matson and Adeline Miller; and one sister, Judy Watkins of Lacon, IL; She was preceded in death by her parents, brother William Olson, sister Barbara Simpson, and brothers-in-law Jerry Simpson and Gene Watkins.

Margaret was a homemaker and also worked as a clerk for Woodford County, Illinois. She was a member of Christian Union Church in Metamora, the Nash Car Club of America, and the DeSoto Motor Cars of Illinois. Margaret was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Christian Union Church with Reverend Gary Salm officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time on Saturday at the church. Burial of Ashes will be held at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery in Metamora. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Snyder Village Resident in Need Fund, 1200 East Partridge Street, Metamora, IL 61548. Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
