Maisie Mayfield, 87, a longtime resident of Metamora, IL passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 3:25 am at the United Methodist Village, Lawrenceville, IL. She was born on January 23, 1927 in North Sydney, Australia to Herbert and Susanna (Freestone) Webster. She married Cloise L. Mayfield on June 21, 1947 in Croydon, New South Wales, Australia. He died on January 9, 1991. Surviving are son Dr. William Mayfield of Robinson, IL and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons Robert and Michael Mayfield, daughter Susan Tessendorf, one brother and seven sisters. Maisie was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Home Extension Guild, Metamora Womens Club and South Side Mission Auxiliary. She was a member of Metamora Christian Union Church and their Philathia group. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 10:30 am at Christian Union Church, Metamora with Pastor Gary Salm officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30 am ? 10:30 am at the church. Burial will be held in Oakwood Cemetery, Metamora.
