M. Patricia Nauman, 91, of Metamora, IL passed away at 10:40 pm on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Snyder Village, Metamora. She was born on March 17, 1924 in Chicago, IL to Francis L. and Goldie Irene (Dehority) Murphy. She married Richard E. "Dick" Nauman on November 16, 1946 at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church, Metamora. He died on April 23, 2009. Surviving are her children Suzanne (Richard) Feltman of Spokane, WA, Mark (Christine) Nauman of Metamora, the late David (Gayle) Nauman of Bloomington, Matthew (Cindy) Nauman of Peoria, James (Andrea) Nauman of Spring, TX, Annelle (Robert) Wells of Peoria, Francis (Jayne) Nauman of Loves Park, IL, Peter (Diane) Nauman of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Mary Anne (Douglas) Oertley of Dacula, GA, and Patricia (Dwight) Darling of Wheaton, IL; 24 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and brother Vincent (Anna Marie) Murphy of Pensacola, FL. She was preceded in death by son David Nauman, and brothers Francis, James, and Jerome Murphy. Pat was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Metamora and their Altar Rosary Society. Catholic Education was extremely important to Pat and all ten of her children attended and graduated from St. Mary's Grade School, Metamora and Spaulding Academy in Peoria. She was the Founding President of Mother of Peorians La Leche League for 12 years. She was a member of St. Mary's PTC Club, Blue Army, and the Catholic Women's Apostolate of Mt. Alverno. Pat was a member of Snag Creek Ladies Golf League, Peoria's Senior Women's Golf League, and the Peoria Nine Hole Golf and Bowling Leagues. She was instrumental in the founding of the Metamora Swim Team. She enjoyed tap dancing and bowling. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Metamora with Father Greg Jozefiak officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until service time at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Metamora.
