Lynn Anne Molleck WASHINGTON - Lynn Anne Potter Molleck, formerly of Washington, died on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at her home in Lafayette, Louisiana, with her family near. She was 65 years old. Hunzicker in November 1964 and together they had three children: Dr. Jana Hunzicker (Greg Wilson) of Washington, Jody Hunzicker of Lafayette, Louisiana, and Jeff Hunzicker of Groveland. All survive, along with five grandchildren: Tyler Mansfield of Pekin, Jamie Hunzicker of Pekin, Jace Mansfield of Washington, Mitchell Wilson of Washington, and Emma Symula of Pekin. Also surviving is Lynn?s second husband of 35 years, John Richard (Jack) Molleck of Lafayette, Louisiana; one brother, Dr. Jack Allen (Paula) Potter of Washington; four step children, Mary Elizabeth (Wayne) Starnes of Madison, Iowa, James (Barbara) Molleck of Ringold, Georgia, Joel Molleck of Denver, Colorado, and Jack Molleck of Englewood, Colorado; and nine step-grandchildren. Two step children preceded her in death: John Richard Molleck, Jr. and Jerry Molleck. Although Lynn graduated from high school in only three years, she was known as a member of the Washington Community High School class of 1965. She returned to Washington for several class reunions over the years, always fondly remembering her classmates, teachers, and high school experiences. During her years in Washington, Lynn served as president and vice president of the Washington Women?s Republican Club, member of the Mayor?s Committee for Women, precinct committee chair, and local election judge. She was a member of the Washington Women?s Club, Town Club, Washington Garden Club, and the Peoria Legal Secretary Association. For 35 years, Lynn worked as a legal secretary and paralegal. Highlights of her career included her positions as legal assistant to the City Attorney of Lafayette and Assistant to the Mayor of Lafayette. Through her legal work, she made many good friends over the years. Lynn especially enjoyed politics, most recently campaigning for the Republican Party during the 2012 presidential election. She also enjoyed reading, decorating her home, playing online bridge, and cooking. She will be remembered by many for her intellect, outgoing personality, and entertaining sense of humor. Cremation rites were accorded by Martin and Castille Funeral Home in Lafayette. Lynn was a member of Washington Christian Church, where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 25, 2013, with Pastor Jeff Browning officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the services, also at Washington Christian Church. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
