Luella Zoss

Luella Zoss age 86 of Roanoke, Illinois passed away at 5:10pm Sunday June 23, 2013 at her residence. She was born May 9, 1927 in Corfu, New York to Joe D. and Emma (Eigsti) Christner. She married Silas C. Zoss on June 30, 1959 in Shelbyville, IL., and he died on October 4, 2009. Surviving are her children, Jeanette (Dale) Ulrich and Marilyn (Lawrence) Kennell both of Washburn, Norma Zoss and Stan (Cindy) Zoss both of Roanoke. Grandchildren, Justin, Daniel, Jesse, Brent, Nathan, Jamie and Karie Zoss, Lance Ulrich, Elisabeth, Christina, and Miriam Kennell. Also surviving are her siblings, Christy (Ellen) Christner, of Shelbyville, IL., Lavina Miller of Goshen, IN., Gloria Christner of Sedalia, MO., Barbara (Ervin) Hostetler of Roanoke, Frank (Sarah) Christner of Pocahontas, AR., Emily (Kenneth) Kennell of Benson, and Jake Christner of Roanoke. She was preceded in death by one brother Joe Christner, one sister Mary Christner, one Brother-in-law Lynn Miller and one sister-in-law Nora Jane Christner. Luella was a homemaker and a member of North Linn Amish Mennonite Church in Roanoke. Funeral services will at 10:00am Wednesday June 26, 2013 at North Linn Amish Mennonite Church with Church ministers officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5pm until 8pm at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel. Burial will be in Roanoke Mennonite Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Methodist Hospice and Donors Choice.
