Lucille Z. "Lucy" Moyer, 62, of Metamora, IL, passed away at 5:40 pm on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at her residence. She was born on November 14, 1958 in Peoria, IL, to Richard F. and Nellie Mae (Kennell) Zoss. She married Dean Z. Moyer on May 4, 1991 in Eureka, IL.

Surviving are her husband, Dean of Metamora; father, Richard of Washburn; brother, Rich (Esther) Zoss of Mt. Dora, FL; and nieces and nephews, Dexter, Monica, and Deon Zoss. She was preceded in death by her mother.

Lucy's interest in banking started in high school, first working at the Washburn Bank. Her career continued for over 25 years. She retired from Heartland Bank as vice president of mortgage lending. She was fulfilled working closely with her customers and was rewarded with long lasting friendships. She was a member of Living Faith Fellowship Church in Eureka, IL where she enjoyed worshiping her Lord and Savior and serving with the congregation.

In 2004, Lucy became a charter member of P.E.O., Chapter OC where she had a close bond with her P.E.O. sisters. Lucy loved spending time with family and friends. She welcomed many with smiles, hugs, and a generous heart.

A private family graveside service will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Stewart Harmony Cemetery in rural Metamora. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Living Faith Fellowship Church. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the church with Steve Ulrich officiating with a luncheon and a time of sharing to follow at the church.
