Lucille (Wagenbach) Lambert - Bossinger passed away peacefully from natural causes on May 10, 2025, at the age of 93.

Lucille was born to Louis and Nellie Wagenbach on March 12, 1932. She married William G. Lambert Jr. on March 11, 1951. They had been married for 47 years until William passed away in 1998. She married John Bossinger on April 1, 2013. He survives. Also surviving are her beloved children, Dale W. Lambert, Donald (Susan) Lambert, and Donita (Joseph) Heinisch; stepchildren, Melissa (William) Bass, John R. Bossinger II, and Brandon (Mickayla) Miller. Surviving also are her grandchildren, Trevor (Angela) Heinisch, Kate (Matt) Mulford, Jenn (Nate) Pelosi, Weston (Shardae) Heinisch, Allison (Francisco) Herran, Kevin Lambert; step-grandchildren, Sammantha (Jordan) Stiles, Summer (Octavio) Guevara, Cody (Kelsey) Bass, Nataleigh, Kalon, Harleigh Bossinger, Liam Callahan, and Layla Miller. Her great-grandchildren are Landen, Madelyn, Liliana, Kelsa, Keden, Melanie, Soleil; step great-grandchildren, Ezekiel, Easton, Hudson, and Kindred. Her sister, Velma Yates, and one stepson, Keith Bossinger, preceded her in death.

She worked a variety of jobs in her younger days. She embarked on a career path at Caterpillar, starting as a Mail Clerk in 1973. She advanced throughout her career to the position of a Price Analyst in the Steel Division of Central Purchasing, retiring in 1988 after 15 years at the company.

She was quite a survivor, battling cancer at four different times in her life and surviving a heart attack. She was a world traveler, visiting 49 states, numerous countries, and continents. She enjoyed socializing, learned to ride a motorcycle, participated in the Great American Race with husband Bill, and enjoyed riverboat casinos with her husband John.

She was a snowbird wintering in Florida for several years. She attended George W. Bush's presidential dinner and was also allowed a private tour of the White House. She was an active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Washington, IL, for 89 years and was a member of the Washington Historical Society. She donated to several organizations, including the start-up of Five Points Washington as a Diamond member, Washington Police and Fire, and the National Indian School.

She will be dearly missed by her entire family and those who befriended her.

A Funeral Service is scheduled for 11 am on Friday, May 16, 2025, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Washington. Pastor Dick Hanson will officiate. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 4 pm until 6 pm at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. Additional visitation will be from 10 am until 10:45 am on Friday, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Burial will follow her service at Glendale Cemetery in Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to any charity of your choice, including St. Jude's, St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Five Points, Washington, or the National Indian School.
