Lola M. (Litwiller) Dickey

Lola M Dickey, 90, of Washington, IL, formerly of Eureka, IL, passed away at 6:31 pm on Friday, December 15, 2023, at her home. She was born on September 11, 1933, in Hittle Township, Tazewell County, IL, to Eli and Fannie (Sutter) Litwiller. She married Robert W. Dickey in Hopedale on June 5, 1955, and he preceded her in death on January 6, 2018. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Wilma E Dickey, her parents, four sisters, and two brothers.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara D Plata (Adolfo) of Washington and Lori A Callaway of Rhinebeck, NY; one brother, Donald Litwiller of Eureka; three granddaughters, Aubrey Brown of Washington, Angela Rosenthal of Deer Creek and Suzanne Zobrist, and eight great-grandchildren.

Lola worked for the USDA- Farm Service Agency in Eureka, retiring in 1996. She spent her time doing the things she enjoyed most: baking, sewing, crocheting, and spending time with friends and family.

While there will be no public services, her family will privately celebrate her life. Lola's remains will be placed in Olio Township Cemetery in Eureka.
