Lois Jean Watt, 82, of Peoria, IL passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at her residence. She was born on January 4, 1933 in rural Metamora to John H. and Violet M. (Bohlander) Speck. She married Charles E. "Ed" Watt, Jr. on July 19, 1989 at Paradise Park, Oahu, Hawaii. He survives. Also surviving are two step-daughters Kimberly (Phil) Crump of Sterling, IL and Amy Smith of Northglenn, CO; five step-children Alex, Molly and James Crump and Amber and Bailey Smith; four nieces and seven nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Elizabeth Kamp and Phyllis Kriete, and two brothers Lowell and Robert Speck. Lois graduated from Metamora High School and worked at Buehler Markets Office, Methodist Hospital Computer Department, and retiring in 1995 from Caterpillar Inc. Accounting Department after 25 years of service. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Peoria. She loved to square dance, camp, and travel, going out West and to Hawaii several times. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 10:00 am at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with Reverend Douglas Lightly officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm and one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Bay Cemetery, Spring Bay.
