Lois Eleanor Turley

Lois Eleanor Turley age 94 of Morton, Illinois formerly of Germantown Hills, Illinois passed away at 6:05pm Thursday Oct. 4, 2012 at Morton Terrace Care Center. She was born July 16, 1918 in Chillicothe, Illinois to Louis and Ethel (Allison) Woodley. She married Ralph A. Turley in June of 1937 in Peoria and he passed away in 1978. Surviving are her sons, Brian (Ellen) Turley of Noank, CT., Gerald (Mary Bohlander) Turley of Bloomington, IL., James Turley of Tucson, AZ., Scott (Carla) Turley of Morton, 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Lois had worked at Foster & Gallagher in Peoria retiring in 1972. Member of the Eastern Star, 1st Methodist Church of Morton and had a great sense of humor. She loved playing cards and her grandchildren. A prayer of thanksgiving for all the smiles that Lois gave and received during her lifetime. A private family graveside for burial of ashes will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Metamora.
