Lloyd A. Varble

Lloyd A. Varble, 79, of East Peoria, IL, passed away at 3:52 on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

He was born on December 25, 1944, in Carrollton, IL, to Elan and Pearl (Edie) Varble. He married Brenda "Gail" Woody in 1968 in Pittsfield, IL. She passed away on August 4, 2012.

Surviving are his two children, Marshall "Brian" Varble of Washington, IL and Kim (Doug) Fandel of East Peoria, IL; four grandchildren, Sydney Varble, Megan (Garrett) Thompson, Morgan Varble, Brian (Katie) Varble; four great-grandchildren with one on the way; and sister, Doris Ridenbark of Jerseyville, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and twelve siblings.

Lloyd was a fork truck operator for Caterpillar Tractor Company. He was a member of Averyville Baptist Church in East Peoria, IL. Lloyd loved to watch western tv shows, always game to going out to eat with friends and family, and enjoyed working on vehicles.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with Reverend David Coyle officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until service time, also on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Bay Cemetery in Spring Bay, IL.
