WASHINGTON?Linda R. Stewart, 68, of Washington, passed away at 7:20 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2012 at her home with her family by her side. Linda was born on August 25, 1943 in Greenville, Kentucky to Grady and Thelma Pendley Reynolds. She married H.B. Bunch on November 21, 1958 in Kentucky. Linda later married Paul Stewart on Valentine?s Day, February 14, 1998. Paul preceded her in death on November 16, 2009. Among those surviving are three daughters, Linda (Gary) Schacherbauer of Roanoke, Debbie (Joel) Obery of Metamora, Darlene (Roger) McClary of LaRose; two step-daughters, Sharon (Benjamin) Davis of San Antonio, TX and Harriett (Don) Backenhaster of Columbus, OH; two sisters, Virginia Cartwright of Kentucky and Dimple Stahl of Indiana; two brothers, Eldon (Martha) Reynolds of Kentucky and Lee (Dottie) Reynolds of Glasford; eight grandchildren, Christy Lynn, Jason Lee, Beth Ann, David Michael, Sara, Lynn, Daniel and Kera and 11 great grandchildren. Linda retired from Caterpillar working in KK in East Peoria for 30 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Washington and had been a member of the East Peoria American Legion for the past 9 years. Linda enjoyed listening to her husband, Paul, play country music as well as the cherished times spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services for Linda will be on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Doubleday officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Metamora. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home. Donations in memory of Linda may be directed to OSF Hospice.
