Linda S. Kennington

Linda Sue Kennington, 75, of Peoria, IL, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.

She was born in Peoria on June 15, 1947, the daughter of the late Clyde and Shirley Thousand Parkinson. She married John L. Kennington Sr. on June 18, 1966, in Peoria.

Surviving are her husband of Peoria, their children John (Karen) Kennington of Orlando, FL; Marc (Kelli) Kennington Jr. of Peoria Heights, IL; and Brandy Kennington of Bartonville, IL. Also surviving are two grandsons Chase and Jakob Kennington, and one sister Cindy (Bob) McAdams of Bloomington, IL. One granddaughter Rylee Kennington and two brothers, Rick and Ron preceded her in death.

She was a 1966 graduate of Manual High School in Peoria. She worked for Murray's, Toys "R" Us, and later Commerce Bank.

She loved movies, reality television programs, and award shows but especially enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports.

A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm, with a service to follow at 6:00 pm all at Mason-White Funeral Home. Cremation rites have been accorded.
