Leroy Meismer

He was born on Dec. 28, 1920 in Metamora the son of Henry and Elizabeth Sheppard Meismer. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters. He was a WWII US Army Veteran serving in the 33rd Division. He was a recipient of a purple heart. LeRoy was self employed owning Eastmoor Inn Tavern in Metamora for many years. He previously worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company. He was a member of American Legion Post 89 in Metamora and VFW Post 7185 in Minonk. He was a member of St. MaryA
