Len was born on October 16, 1923 in Louisville, Kentucky to Guy and Maude Dorney Attkisson. He married Bobbye Beasley on January 30, 1971 in Birmingham, Alabama. Len was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis Gann Attkisson. Also surviving are two sons, Randall (Sherry) Attkisson of Stanford, KY and Kenneth Attkisson of Ft. Myers, FL; two daughters, Jeanne (Steve) Kallman of Birmingham, AL and Judy (Bob) Paddock of FL; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
