Laverne M. Esch, 92, of Metamora, passed away at 2:22pm, Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Snyder Village.

She was born on July 27, 1925, in rural Metamora the daughter of Sol and Nina Smith Gingrich.  She married Claude M. Esch on September 17, 1948 in Washington.  He passed away on June 12, 2008. One son Art also preceded her in death in 1968.

Surviving are several cousins.

A graduate of Metamora High School and Eureka College, Laverne taught piano lessons for several years.  Laverne was a member of Calvary Community Church and attended Faith Holiness Assembly both in Washington.
