Laurence T. Wagner, 75, of Washington, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL.
He was born on March 10, 1949, in Peoria, the son of Nicholas and Phyllis Gravenor Wagner.
Surviving are one son, Brandon (Kara) Wagner of Colorado Springs, CO, and three grandchildren, Kaitryn, Bailey, and Blake. Also surviving are two brothers, Randy (Linda) Wagner of Petersburg, IL, and Scott (Marla) Wagner of Dunlap, IL. His parents preceded him in death.
Larry worked for Ameren-Cilco for 40 years, retiring as a crew leader. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Washington and served in the United States Navy on the USS Coral Sea during the Vietnam War.
His favorite pastimes include fishing, golfing, traveling, cheering on the Bradley Braves, and socializing with friends at Schooners in Peoria Heights and the Bunker in Sunnyland.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11 am on Monday, June 17, 2024, at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. Pastor Dick Hanson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before his service also at the funeral home. Burial will follow his service at 2 pm at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Greater Peoria Honor Flight or the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
