Larry A. Schupp, 82, of Washington, Illinois, passed away peacefully at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family, on February 3, 2026.

Larry was born on October 15, 1943, to Lyle and Mildred Aman Schupp in Peoria, Illinois. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved sister, Sharon Johnson.

On October 25, 1991, Larry married the love of his life, Susan Diane (Bennett) Ribak, who survives.

Also surviving are his son, Christian (Jessica) Schupp of Chillicothe; daughter, Candice Oliveri of Henry; son Craig (Chantal) Schupp of Knoxville, Tennessee; stepdaughter Ginger (Andy) Light of East Peoria; and stepson Dean Ribak of Pekin. Larry had 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Larry spent 33 years working at Caterpillar in Mossville as an HVAC mechanic before retiring in 1996. In retirement, he stayed active doing what he loved-gardening, painting, crafting, repurposing old items, and creating meaningful gifts for friends and family. His lifelong passion for tinkering and fixing things, even when they weren't broken, often led to laughter and sometimes frustration among those around him.

He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who truly treasured every moment spent with his family.

Per Larry's request, cremation has been arranged. A celebration of life will take place on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 4 pm to 6 pm at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington.
