LaDonna R. Ernst, 77, of Washington, Illinois, passed away at her home on Monday, September 28, 2026.

She was born on December 4, 1948, in Lemmon, South Dakota, the daughter of the late Raymond and Eileen Scott Paranto. She married James Ernst on June 9, 1967, in Eureka, Illinois.

Surviving are her husband and their three daughters, Yvonne Ernst and Chery (Michael) Ford, both of Washington, and Tammy Buhs of Pekin. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Samuel Ernst, Kayla Ford, and Jenna Buhs. Her three sisters are Mary Lou Hopwood of Pekin, Illinois, Conny Armstrong of Texas, and Bonnie (Merle Jr.) Lee of Peoria Heights, Illinois. Three brothers, James Paranto of Metamora, Illinois, and John (Shelly) Paranto and Ronald Paranto of East Peoria, Illinois, also survive.

LaDonna was a passionate bowler and proudly earned her place in the Peoria Bowling Hall of Fame. She actively contributed to the youth bowling league in Washington, sharing her love for the sport. In her younger days, she enjoyed playing softball, which brought her lots of joy. Above all, she cherished her family and loved spending quality time with her grandchildren.

In accordance with LaDonna's wishes, cremation rites have been conducted. Her family will gather privately to celebrate her beautiful life.
